When is a change in the commercial register necessary?
According to Art. 937 CO, every change to a fact must be entered in the commercial register.

When is it necessary to consult a notary?
If changes concern facts that are stipulated in the articles of association (e.g. purpose, company, seat, share capital, etc.), an amendment to the articles of association is required. Changes to the articles of association must be certified by a notary.
 
Do signatures have to be certified?
Signatures only have to be certified if a new person to be registered shall get signatory power.  
 
Can multiple changes be made at the same time? Yes.

How are entries in the commercial register changed?
All changes are made in the form of a so-called registration at the commercial register office of the relevant canton. This registration reflects all changes that are to be entered in the register. It must be signed by the authorized signatory. In the case of a general partnership, the registration must be signed by all partners and in the case of sole proprietorships by the owner.

Where is the registration to the commercial register to be submitted?
The registration must be submitted to commercial register of the canton where the company's office is registered .
 
How long does it take for the changes to be made in the commercial register? After receipt of the registration in the commercial register and all supporting documents, the entry is usually completed within 14 days. The duration differs from canton to canton and also depends on the capacity of the respective commercial register office.
